Russia vs Sweden: Ikram Aliskerov, Khamzat Chimaev fight at ‘Brave 23: Pride and Honor’ in Jordan

Russia and Sweden were among the 16 countries represented at “Brave 23: Pride and Honor” on April 19, 2019. It was the second Brave Combat Federation event to take place in the country.

Featuring 12 mixed martial arts matches, which included three title bouts, “Brave 23: Pride and Honor” took place at the Martyr Rashid Al-Ziyoud Hall Boxing Arena in Amman, Jordan. The eighth bout of the evening was between Ikram Aliskerov, 26, of Makhachkala, Dagestan, Russia and Khamzat “Borz” Chimaev, 24, of Stockholm, Sweden.

Aliskerov was one of the two fighters who represented Russia at “Brave 23: Pride and Honor” while Chimaev was one of the two fighters who represented Sweden. Bahrain, Brazil, Canada, Egypt, England, France, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, South Africa, Tunisia, the United States and Wales were also represented.

Blue Corner

Chimaev made his successful professional MMA debut in 2018. In the same year, he earned four wins in total and joined Brave CF.

“Brave 23: Pride and Honor” marked Chimaev’s third Brave CF outing. He previously competed in International Ring Fight Arena and Fight Club Rush.

Red Corner

Aliskerov made his successful professional MMA debut in 2012. He went on hiatus from 2013 to 2014, made a successful comeback in 2015 and joined Brave CF in 2017.

“Brave 23: Pride and Honor” marked Aliskerov’s sixth Brave CF bout. He previously competed in Fight Stars Promotion, Tech-KREP Fighting Championship and Fight Nights: Dagestan.

Fight Result

Aliskerov and Chimaev competed in the welterweight division. It was the second bout on the main card.

The referee put a stop to the welterweight contest in the first round when Chimaev knocked out Aliskerov. This made the Swedish contender the first fighter to defeat the Russian fighter in a professional MMA bout.

Winning at “Brave 23: Pride and Honor” improved Chimaev’s professional MMA record to 5 wins and 0 loss. On the other hand, Aliskerov now has 8 wins and 1 loss.

Russia vs Brazil: Ikram Aliskerov vs Geraldo Coelho fight at ‘Brave 21: Saudi Arabia’ in Jeddah

Russia and Brazil were among the 11 countries represented at the Brave Combat Federation event “Brave 21: Saudi Arabia” held on December 28, 2018 at the King Abdullah Sports City Indoor Sports Hall in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. It is the final event of the Bahrain-based mixed martial arts promotion in 2018.

Featuring 10 MMA bouts, “Brave 21: Saudi Arabia” is the first Brave CF event to be held in Saudi Arabia. In the seventh bout of the evening, Ikram Aliskerov of Makhachkala, Dagestan, Russia faced Geraldo “Luan Santana” Coelho de Lima Neto of Curitiba, Parana, Brazil.

Born in Rondonopolis, Mato Grosso, Brazil on December 9, 1990, Coelho is training out of CM System in Curitiba. A Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, he has been competing professionally as an MMA fighter since 2011.

“Brave 21: Saudi Arabia” marked Coelho’s second Brave CF bout. Three fighters represented Brazil in the event namely Coelho, Bruno Assis and Gabriel Miranda.

Red Corner

Aliskerov was born in Russia on December 7, 1992. A Combat Sambo World Champion, he has been competing professionally as an MMA fighter since 2015.

“Brave 21: Saudi Arabia” marked Aliskerov’s fifth Brave CF bout. Six fighters represented Russia in the event namely Aliskerov, Rustam Chsiev, Akhmed Magomedov, Usman Nurmagomedov, Gadzhimusa Gadzhiev and Marat Magomedov.

Fight Result

Aliskerov and Coelho competed in a catch weight of 79 kg. The referee put a stop to the contest in the third round when the Dagestani fighter knocked out his Brazilian opponent.

By winning at “Brave 21: Saudi Arabia,” Alisterov was able to maintain his undefeated record. He now holds a professional MMA record of 7 wins and 0 loss.

On the other hand, it was Coelho’s first loss in Brave CF. He now has 12 wins and 4 losses.

“Brave 21: Saudi Arabia” Main Events

In the co-main event of the evening, Gadzhimusa “Deadshot” Gadzhiev of Makhachkala, Dagestan, Russia faced Rami “The Russian” Hamed of Beirut, Lebanon in the welterweight division. The Lebanese fighter knocked out his Dagestani opponent in the first round.

In the main event, Marat Magomedov of Makhachkala, Dagestan, Russia and Jeremy “JBC” Kennedy of Surrey, British Columbia, Canada battled it out in the featherweight division. The Canadian contender knocked out his Dagestani opponent in the third round.

Bahrain, Canada, China, Egypt, Japan, Lebanon, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Syria were also represented at “Brave 21: Saudi Arabia.” Check the complete results here.
